As government agencies continue their aggressive offensive toward immigrant communities, it is important that faith communities organize and prepare, to protect and care for, our immigrant brothers and sisters.   St. Charles Catholic Church aims to do just that.  In part buy creating what we are calling an "Immigrant Hardship fund".  This fund would be used to pay the bills of parish families in the event that they are experiencing financial hardship as a result of a family member being arrested and/or deported by Immigration officials.    We hope to never have to use this fund.  However we want our immigrant  families to hear our message loud and clear;  ST. CHARLES LOVES YOU, WE ARE HERE FOR YOU, WE WILL DO WHAT WE CAN TO PROTECT AND CARE FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES.

Catholic social teaching is built on a commitment to the poor. This commitment arises from our experiences of Christ in the Eucharist.
