Mission

We seek to:
  • Promote recycling within our parish, school and community.
  • Inform and educate our community on current environmental issues.
  • Take a stand and make our voices heard.
  • Partner with the wider community to promote greater understanding that leads to action.

Critical Issues

Pope Francis on Fossil Fuels. On May 25, the Pope used his 2023 message for the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation to call for an end to "the fossil fuel era," saying it is "madness to permit continued exploration and expansion of fossil fuel infrastructure." Read the article here.

Understanding Natural Gas. Educating ourselves about “natural gas” is the first step to making changes and taking effective action.

Currently Collecting

We are collecting for recycling:
  • single use batteries
  • cosmetic and hair care bottles, lids and pumps
You will find the receptacles at the entrance to the church near the SVDP box. (Please no styrofoam or other items not listed on the sign near the receptacles.)  Stay tuned for a spring event centered around environmental issues you won’t want to miss!
