Welcome to the Social Justice Ministry!
What is Social Justice?
Social Justice teaches us that all people are made in the image of God and so possess an equal and inalienable worth. It means that governments, institutions, and individuals should give equal opportunities to all people without engaging in discrimination or the taking of lives. The Seven Themes of Catholic Social Teaching are at the heart of this ideology. Engaging in social justice is not as heavy of a burden as one might think. It could be as simple as holding up signs with your neighbors and acknowledging that black lives matters. In fact, St. Charles is doing just that. Our current focus in the Social Justice Ministry is racial justice. How Can You Get Involved?
