AboutFacilitated and presented by Dave Gregory, DLSNC Theology Teacher
Each session will be an interactive opportunity to explore what the Bible has to say to us today about issues of justice and liberation. Gregory writes, "Many have never learned that the Bible was written by a people who were, or whose immediate ancestors were, enslaved and oppressed, and that its story is most fundamentally of a God who lovingly and unrelentingly seeks the liberation of all. I am most interested in helping my students understand the social, political, economic, religious, and historical contexts in which the Bible was written, and how this emancipatory narrative unfolds throughout its pages. Both personally and professionally, I have discovered that learning these contexts truly unlocks new ways in and through which we understand and engage Scripture." Dave has been a theology teacher for more than ten years. |
