All powerful God,
You are here in our midst as we begin this time together.
You have been here with us through the joys and the sorrows of life,
through our celebrations, our ordinary days, our feasts and our days of letting go and saying goodbye. 
Now, as we ponder change, both personally, as a parish, as a country and as a world,
stay with us. 
Help us to keep the essence of our faith which has been carefully cultivated in this space. 
Be with us as we move forward with change. 
Help us to navigate through the difficulties ahead, keeping our eyes focused on you. 
Quiet our concerns and help us to see the wonder of change,
the new possibilities that await us and the growth that is inevitable. 
Comfort us with the familiarity of others, the love that is found here, the traditions and rituals that will remain, always. 
Open our hearts so that we may continue to worship you,
​lighting our path so that we can be a light to others and a rock of strength in our community. 
For this and for all things found in you, we are grateful.
