In light of serious and legitimate concerns over the spread of the Coronavirus, we are implementing the following precautions with respect to worship at St. Charles. We are aware that the situation is evolving rapidly, and so our precautions may change. But for now, we want to communicate the following:
1. We will continue to worship at our regularly published times, and we encourage all healthy parishioners to attend.
2. If you are sick, please stay home--for your sake and for the sake of others.
3. During Mass, we will pray the Lord's Prayer without holding hands.
4. During Mass, we will offer the Greeting of Peace without shaking hands or hugging--simple bow, verbal greeting, etc.
5. During Mass, Communion will be distributed under both species. Taking the cup is strongly discouraged, but you must decide for yourself if you wish to drink from the cup.
FYI: We have contracted with our custodial service to have all the pews in the church and all the doors throughout campus thoroughly sanitized weekly, over and above the twice-weekly cleaning that we already get.
If you have any questions, please contact Leif Kehrwald at 503-351-9889.
