Power of Relationships - January 28, 2018

Our third GIFT Sunday was a great success. The topic was the Power of Relationships. The goals were to 1) recognize that relationships are at the heart of faith, 2) get in touch with the most important relationships in our lives, and 3) engage in intentional relationship building that enhances our faith. See pictures, program info, and results below.

Here's what we did!
  1. Eat. We started with a terrific meal of pasta salad and cookies.
  2. Share. We introduced ourselves to three other persons and shared about a hero/role model, best friend as a kid, and someone who brings out the best in us.
  3. Pray. We prayed with the 25 "cries" that reflect our developmental needs. See them here.
  4. Learn. We formed intergenerational groups and explored the Power of Relationships by viewing these two videos: Video #1, Video #2.
  5. Listen. We heard Greysen George and Jeanne Moser share about key relationships in their lives. (See videos to the left).
  6. Talk. We discussed these questions: Who is an important person in your life? How does that person impact your faith journey? How do you, did you, or could you tend that relationship?
  7. Share Cards. We wrote a card the name of someone in the parish we admire. We are instructed to give the card to that person
  8. Sing. We ended by singing the GIFT song.
