Coordinator for Youth Ministry
​St. Charles Catholic Church seeks a coordinator of Youth Ministry. This part time position is a great fit for you if have a passion for young people and for faith, can empower recognize and embrace God’s activity in their lives, and can work in a collaborative ministry environment.
Job Description
 
Position Title:              Coordinator of Youth Ministry
Reports to:                  Parish Pastoral Administrator
Employment Status:   Part-time (25 hours per month)
Compensation:           $20 per hour
 

Duties and Responsibilities
This position will serve the Parish by facilitating, motivating, recruiting, and encouraging the ministry of social justice and community engagement. The person in this position will have the responsibility to:
  • implement effective faith formation for middle school and high school youth
  • select and use appropriate materials and methods for faith growth and learning
  • recruit and sustain needed leaders and volunteers
  • integrate youth into the life of the parish
  • establish and maintain contact with parents of youth
  • implement sacramental preparation for Confirmation

Minimum Qualifications
A practicing Catholic with a working knowledge of effective practices of youth ministry and/or willing to learn them. Ability to work as a team member. Ability to draw leadership out of others and to work collaboratively in decision making. Interpersonal skills one on one and in groups. Adequate computer and digital communication skills. A valid driver’s license. Pass a background check. Bi-lingual language skills (English/Spanish) preferred.
